sometimes, they are the biggest dangers to their own kids, like fish that eat their own offspring.

Hopefully, those kids will have one good parent or a parent figure who convinces them they are worthy of, and deserve, better than that. And, hopefully, they let that person or persons know how important their support is, was, or has been.

Bottom line, though? "That which does not kill us only makes us stronger."

Or so I tell myself. (It's either true or potentially encouraging to those who have had to survive the person or persons who raised or neglected or abused them, so I don't see much harm in it, whether or not it is only a way survivors have of comforting themselves.)

3. Thanks, formercia. As my son once asked, "When is Children's Day?"
I tried to tell him that every day was Children's Day, but he wasn't buying it. He wanted presents!
