Maybe this time I won't disappear for more months? I dunno. Hard to say.



Much frustration and lack of progress on the projects I have been working on. Plus many of the people I have been working with seem have experienced massive amounts of odd misfortune and missed signals, resulting in many of my friends leaving town where I live. The ones who are still around are experiencing constant problems and harrassment of course, because they are peace activists. You know the recent scandal in the news? You think it doesn't get worse than that? Trust me activists are not popular with local officials and some fellow citizens right now.

So sorry things have not been going weil. I do hope things picked up.

It's quieter than ever here. About three months of our posts disappeared. I don't think it was a glitch. I am pretty sure I know who was responsible.

After that, I stopped starting several threads every day, as I used to.

After that, Madfloridian's husband passed away. She has not posted here since then.

She and I were the most frequent thread starters.

So, DU2 is quieter than ever.

But, I am happy to see your fonts. (((Leo)))

It was posted at DU3 and formercia re-posted it here. I misunderstood and thought madfloridian was formercia's mom, but that was my mistake: she isn't. He was just letting us know.

6. Is madfloridian still on DU3? When you say three months of posts disappeared, what do you mean?

Do you guys still have the posting glitch? I'm using that userscript I made, so I wouldn't know.

You should be proud of me, I learned CSS / PHP / Sequel / regexp's while I was away. Unfortunately, it was in the service of rebuilding the website for the community project I volunteer at, so I'm not getting much in the way of job experience out of it. I didn't go to tech school and I'm not "really" a techie.

As you probably know, in order to do web stuff where I live you need to have a clearance in order to get a real job in the field because they are all connected to service and support of the recently revealed scandalous activities. So 80,000 voters, mostly liberal techies with a vested interest in continuing the warfare and erosion of basic human rights and some of them probably know less than me but pull down $80,000 because of their school and connections.

You say 3 months of posts disappeared, was this since I left? I haven't posted in a over three months. And you think you know what happened?

I don't know about DU3, Leo and I am proud of you for learning new stuff.

Yes, as to the disappearance.

I had been starting at least five threads a day, looking daily at the website of AP, Reuters, UPI, ABC, CBS and MSNBC to troll for news stories. Madfloridian started at lot of threads, too, usually crossposted from DU3 or Daily Kos. Seafan started some as well, as did Divine Discontent, Enthusiast and formercia. And, once in a while, people dropped in from DU3 or from lurking.

It was a few people, but a lot of stuff.

One day in May, I showed up to see that the most recent post was dated February. And that is when I decided to stop my daily posting of news stories.

You can still see it on the first page of General Discussion, a little below the middle of the page. The posts go right from February 25 to May 10.

"And you think you know what happened?"

I don't think the posts disappeared by accident or deleted themselves.

Our State Senator personally came to harass me while I was working at the polls as an observer. The Dems even asked the Police to provide me protection. I just laughed him off. He's on of those Dominionist/Reconstructionist Preachers that thinks this is a Holy War against Liberals.

Moving doesn't solve the problem, the Boys just call on a new group to make trouble.

I prever to hang tight and laugh in their faces.
