don't look at all like a female version of him.
So, in Depp's case, I think evolution may have hooked up with a touch of narcissism.
His children with Vanessa Paradis, when they were a few years younger:
Looking at the family, you'd never know blond hair is the product of a recessive gene.
They are adorable, but, then, I find all kids that age adorable.
Once, I said to someone that, in my life, I had seen only one ugly infant. (I had been 16 when I saw him and my best friend at the time--close as only a high school girl's best friend can be--had actually laughed out loud at his looks, so that influenced me.)
Turned out, the woman to whom I had mentioned this was a nurse. She said that she had never seen a single ugly infant--and she had seen them in all conditions, some with most of their faces missing. She was right, of course. Just like that, she had put me right in my place.
BTW, the guy (one of the guys?) who reads scripts for Depp is a school buddy of my friend in California with whom I spend election nights on the phone.
So, fwiw, I guess I am with very few degrees of Depp, which may explain why I notice him more than I notice other celebrities.
If Depps's ever been in a movie with Kevin Bacon, maybe I can play the Six Degrees of Keven Bacon game.
