The list is by state and then by city.

Boston's protest starts at 9:30 am, in front of the Old State House, which still bears the symbols of King George III.

The Declaration of Independence was read from the balcony of the Old State House on July 4, 1776.

It's a day long demonstration! I hope it doesn't rain. We've been having some tropical style downpours.

I am not sure health issues will allow me to participate all day, but I can show up at 9:30 and stay with them until I truly can't stay anymore.

Everyone who talks about "take to the streets," this is your chance!

Oh, and Happy Fourth. It's celebrated in Boston for several days, this year July 2 to July 7.

The Tsarnaevs said their original plan was for Boston's July 4 concert on the banks of the Charles River, which does draw a very large crowd every year. I am hoping no murderous sorts take any clues from that, but I am apprehensive.

1. My sense of patriotism has been wrung out by politicians
that have no sense of honesty, liberty or justice. Since Bush v Gore, yuck. They don't even love the corporations they work for, they have no allegiance to anything but their growing off-shore bank accounts. They are the worst Americans in all of history and MANY of them are in the Democratic Party holding the highest of offices. I hate them more than I can express. And my hatred is entirely justified.

Actually this nation has been gone since they allowed Reagan and poppy Bush to escape prosecution after Iran-Contra. They were not held responsible for their crimes setting the stage for all the malfeasance to come.

2. Maybe love of country can be distinguished from love of politicians?
Just as love of God (whatever that means to you) can be distinguished from love of Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, et al.?

Just a thought.

Of course, the demonstrations tomorrow that I referenced in my OP will be about respect for the Constitution/rule of law, which can be distinguished from all of the above.

3. Nice post.
I understand, completely. But I'm still wrung out.

4. I get it. Sort of. But I just cannot bring myself to give up yet.
Not sure why.

Maybe it has something to do with my astrology chart.
