Daily Show July 29, 2013 Mark Liebovich on government in Washington, DC
This is the link to the full episode.

The Liebovitch interview is the last segment, just before the last long bunch of commercials and the "moment of zen."

Sample line. "There are no more Democrats or Republicans, only millionaires." (or words to that effect).

One of the many interesting factoids from the interview. 50% of Senators go on to be lobbyists, as do 42 or 43% of Representatives.

No conflict of interest there, I'm sure. And it's not only Senators and Reps. Secretaries and undersectaries, white house advisors, et al. do the same. Public service, indeed.

(Supposedly, there is a waiting period, but history tells me that people like Daschle and Dodd don't let it impress them much. One merely does not use the title "lobbyist.")

Link to only the interview is in 3 parts--the part that aired during the show, and parts 1 and 2 of the part that aired after the showo
