Do we really need our consciousness raised any more?
I have read and otherwise learned of many--too many, maybe--stories about what is wrong with the US, the world and the planet.

I have myself posted many such stories.

I have read or otherwise heard of zero that tells me what, realistically, I can do about any of these problems.

Sign an online petition? Don't make me laugh. Call my Senator? Don't make me laugh. Call the White House? Don't make me split my sides.

If I can't do anything, maybe time spent keeping up with the "news" is counter-productive? If all I can do with the info is get more aggravated about it, how much of my time should I rationally devote to it?

1. The phrase 'exercise in futility'
was created for the years of the Obama presidency.

2. Maybe, but my post was not specific to the Obama Presidency.
I must be in a bad mood today.

In contrast to my usually sunny disposition.

3. Have you ever had a
kitteh? Or a puppy? They can elevate us to a sunny disposition. I know it's a huge commitment. All our pets have been accidental. But we received more than we gave, each time. And the internet was created for kittens anyway. :pals:
