We've noted that MSNBC night time is not free of bias.
Daytime, of course, starts us off with conservative Joe Scarborough, Chuck Toad and Mrs. Alan Greenspan (Though, to be fair, she is a better journalist than anyone who is on in the morning)
Luke Russert, however, has never managed to disguise his rightism. (His Dad was far more subtle about it.)
I remember in the 2008 campaign, the normally phlegmatic Luke getting all animated and excited about how loved McCain was among-wait for it--college kids-- "because he's just so AUTHENTIC!"
How very astute of you Luke, to nail the youth vote in the 2008 election that way.
Anyhoooooo
The morning after the shutdown, some Democrat or another (I was listening, not watching) was on Morning Joe mentioning some effects of the shutdown. The most heart-rending one, was of course, 30 kids with cancer who were on trials with the National Institutes of Health.
By noon, Luke was talking about the blame game, saying that "Democrats got ugly, of course, talking about kids with cancer." The little guy even made a face as he was saying it.
Listen, Turd,Jr., shutting down government because you don't like a law that was duly passed after your party lost a couple of elections in a row is ugly. Not funding the National Institutes of Health is ugly. Telling the people what the effects of the shutdown are is not ugly.
Unfortunately, Turd, Jr. probably has a job for life at NBC, given that the consensus is that his father worked himself to death. (I think the functions Tim Russert was serving at NBC were divided up among four or five people after his death, Chuck Toad being one of them.)
But, they can make him speak appropriately while keeping him on the payroll. Or give him some off camera job with a fat salary, a big title and not much to do.
