ABSOLUTELY!

At the minimum, it'd be a way to keep his name in lights, that the non-compete agreement can't stop - he'd be switching from the media business to the politics business, which means he couldn't be competing with his old employer. It'd be a purely political endeavor, so any attempt to squelch his campaign with a lawsuit would be shot down on First Amendment grounds.

And he'd be a great Senator! He knows more about the issues than just about anyone, and he could be a voice we desperately need in the Senate!

The Republicans are unstoppable - everyone knows that. We can only cave, compromise, and hope that they let some of us live.

Olbermann would just make the Republicans cross. It's good that he's gone - hopefully the Republicans will forget his transgressions on behalf of actual Democrats.
