I knew this day could not possibly be far away. Stainless steel appliances are in just about every kitchen at this point. It was time to make them obsolete. Therefore, I would not remodel. I did not want to be the last consumer in the continental United States to buy a stainless steel appliance suite.
The latest thing in appliances that no self-respecting consumer would be without is--wait for it--
white appliances.
Meanwhile, like Yogi Berra, your grandmother is saying, "It's deja vu all over again."

I thought they would go back to covering the appliances to match the cabinetry, so that you have to look around the kitchen for a second before you spot the dishwasher. But they fooled me on that. Guess they thought some people might still have those kitchens and why should those slackers be in vogue?
If they go all the way back to white, it's like going back to the bustle in women's fashions. No one today would already have a bustled outfit so you could, in theory, sell one to every woman in America. Well, except Taylor Swift, who wore a bustled gown to the Golden Globes Sunday.
Now, we can be fashion victims on the red carpet and in the kitchen at very the same time, bustling around our white appliance, just like our great grandmothers.
