Catholic high school kid tries to change Catholic policy on gays

This story burys the lead (or lede*), IMO.

Who cares if one nun resigns as headmaster and nothing else changes--her successor does the same thing she did or doubles down?

The senior class president got 30,000 signatures in an attempt to change church policy. What an example for his elders! Good on him.

1. I see the reaction to this as a positive step.
The people, especially young people, are clearly ahead of the church when it comes to tolerance. The church appears to be changing in small ways. Any change is a positive after the many centuries of hypocrisy.

2. I've never seen this as lede.
I think we can safely stay with lead.
