Oops, somehow didn't get the segment pasted in earlier-- my apologies.

Of course, there's a third possible reason that we just made up: Maybe Keith Olbermann is replacing Regis on LIVE with Regis & Kelly after he retires? The show's name will be changed to Worst Breakfast In the World.

 Oh, come on, pairing the intelligent and "take no prisoners" Keith Olbermann with the flake, Kelly Rippa--- that has to be funny and certainly would equate to my "worst breakfast in the world" ;)

But it was quickly rejected.

2. Part of the spin machine to attempt to discredit him before he goes anywhere else this Fall.

3. You are kidding, right? This is a satirical statement...

Gawker was kidding as evidenced by the fact they SAID they had just made it up. What on earth would make you react so strongly?

As a big KO supporter, myself,I've just been angry since last evening and was looking for something to lighten up the mood a tiny tiny tiny bit.

9. He's not going anywhere this fall
The agreement places a prohibition for a certain amount of time (it doesn't say how much) on his ability to appear as a host on television somewhere again. My supposition is that that will be at the very least one year. It could be more. (He was apparently paid for two years, the remainder of his contract, to the tune of $14 million.) The agreement doesn't place a limitation on his being on radio or the internet.

12. Most of the "insiders" are predicting six months....
Edited on Sat Jan-22-11 05:40 PM by hlthe2b
A full year is even more harsh than they did with Conan. I don't see KO agreeing to that.

Anderson takes over for Regis.

6. Actually, I could probaly see Anderson doing a morning show...
like that. It would make a good trade, I think, even though I harbor issues with CNN...

8. Kelly loves Anderson when he guest hosts on the show for Regis
And I think he does get some of the highest ratings for a guest host on the show.

His popularity as a guest host helped him get the better deals at CNN.

11. I don't think it would be all that bad
Often sweet and savory work well when combined.
