17. The difference is
most people like and buy Hondas because they are nice, reliable cars. I imagine freepers buy them specifically because they are non-union, like itsrobert pointed out.

26. I bought a Honda because my last one lasted an amazingly long time
and required very little $$$ in repairs even after the warranty expired.

Maybe people buy Honda because they are a good value or at the minimum perceived to be a good value.

Total Cost of ownership = purchase price + financing + maintenance + repairs + fuel + licensing/fees - resale value.

3. Let's save it. What would the Web be like without that Beautiful, well-laid-out, expensive Site?
It must cost like 27 dollars a month to pay for all the "enhancements"

I've seen better web-sites made by 5th graders. :)

20. The web will be a tiny bit brighter
when that site goes under. Unfortunately, all the disgusting members of that site will still be spewing their hate on other forums and at their teabagger rallies.

15. I should have moved in front of them after I passed
and slowed way down so there would have been no doubt that they saw my DU sticker.

Thinking about this tonight really makes me appreciate DU and the admins all the more...

14. Thing is, we can save it
Burn it to a couple of CDs (that software could fit on a fucking Vic-20), and preserve it as a testament to what the world should never become. As for the users, send them to the inquisition where they belong.

18. If there was some way we could save it
and exploit the ignorance posted on that site for all the world to see, maybe a lot of people would rethink what it means to be a conservative these days...

27. Save Free Republic ... keep the cretins together in a place where we can keep an eye on them!
If they scatter, we might lose track of them, and then god only knows what mischief they'll get into!
