Dems and Repubs compromise on filibuster reform..
Surprise, surprise, surprise, the filibuster will remain unchanged.

To the dismay of a younger crop of Democrats and some outside liberal activists, there is no chance that rules surrounding the filibuster will be challenged, senior aides on both sides of the aisle say, because party leaders want to protect the right of the Senate's minority party to sometimes force a supermajority of 60 votes to approve legislation.

Or better yet...when it doesn't work out like the repigs promised it would, everyone will be scratching their heads wondering "why?"

2. In other words: bye bye reform.
Particularism once again trumps democracy -- for that matter, in the current environment, trumps any chance of adequately doing the public's business.

5. Scretive & Lazy: they want super-majority, but they don't want to work for it, by actually telling
us stuff during debates. As if doing so would slow things down any more than they already are in grid-lock?
