2. The light bulb law is repulsive and should be overturned. I'm ashamed to hear Bachmann is on it
CFL lights are just as damaging to the environment as regular light bulbs, much more so in fact, and are bad for the eyes. As a consumer (who uses VERY little energy on lights), we should have the choice to purchase incandescent light bulbs.

By passing the law with the language they did, they deliberately excluded and de-funded then-current efforts by GE to develop a more efficient HE-incandescent light-bulb, which they abandoned in 2008, thus ensuring the death of incandescent light bulb manufacturing north of the Mexican border (forcing the closure of GE's last light bulb plants in the US as ALL CFL bulbs are manufactured in Asia, due to the low wages and hand techniques needed to produce a bulb for the same price.)

The fact that so few Americans even know this law exists and speak of it as "that light bulb law" does not augur well for Americans being informed or in favor of freedom of choice.

The fact that people care about saving energy and not the environment while they continue to build coal plants and consume gasoline in their huge automobiles is unfortunate but unsurprising.

How many Americans even know that the original bill wanted to ban items like incandescent chandelier bulbs, etc. that many or most people have in their house?

3. And she attributed the FY2009 budget deficit to Obama...
Edited on Wed Jan-26-11 03:23 AM by Make7
... even though the FY2009 budget was passed during the Bush administration.

Is it really possible that she is this clueless?

On edit: The Budget Message of the President for FY2009 is stunning in its optimism just before the warning signs of a financial meltdown were becoming difficult to overlook.

5. So were a half dozen other things she is blaiming on Obama by insinuation. I despise
the scheming fraud of the Tea Party and R Party.
