SC(R)OTUS -- a new term for our times
Edited on Wed Jan-26-11 11:57 AM by Fly by night
Since three of the four Rethugligan stooges on the Supreme Court were too busy cashing checks from recent presentations at far-reich political forums, catching up on their porno web-surfing or washing their hair last night to attend the State of the Union address, I would like to offer this collective term to refer henceforth to Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts.

SC(R)OTUS -- Supreme Court Rethugligans of the United States.

Since the Teabaggers are counting on these four to keep pushing their agenda, I am sure they would be happy with this ball-sackian descriptor also.

What say ye?

3. No. Too hard to spell, pronounce, remember.
But the thought is correct.

5. I don't know. Seems like SC(R)OTUS just rolls off the tongue, ...

Was my comment placed wrong? Really tired lately.

Looked up. No, I was where I meant to be.

15. No, it was my bad. Sorry about that.
We're all a bit tired these days -- tired of the cold, tired of the economy, tired of the usurpation of the consent of the governed.

As for me, I'm ready for another Boston TEA Party.

7. Oops. I thought you were talking to me.
Never mind.

As for me, we can call the current strain of Rethugs anything and it still wouldn't capture the evil that lurks in the minds of those men.

8. Thanks kindly. I see from your profile that you live in a beautiful state.
I am partial to the valley above Penasco, below Jicarita Peak. But almost any part of New Mexico is enchanting. I envy you.

BTW, I am writing this from Santa Fe, Tennessee.

14. I am not at all familiar with the places you mentioned. Sad for me, I think
Santa Fe Tennessee? How interesting. I have been to Murfreesboro (sp?) You are right, New Mexico is beautiful, but finding the time to partake of the beauty is often problematic. The skies are always stunning, though. I have moved away several times and keep coming back.. go figure.

I can't wait to use your term "ScRotus" in a posting. I hope it catches on like a wild fire. It is just perfect.

:hi:

16. When you get the time ...
Edited on Thu Jan-27-11 05:55 AM by Fly by night
... drive north from Santa Fe toward Taos. About half-way (just past Embudo), you'll take a highway east through Dixon and then continue to rise up in the mountains until you pass the Picuris Pueblo and arrive at Penasco. Continue northeast through Rodarte. You can see Jicarita Peak (Basket Mountain) straight ahead of you. If you continue on to Vadito, you'll reach the high road to Taos, which is a back way there through national forest. Where the high road starts, there is a wisp of an old ghost town (Placita) where I still hope to buy land.

One day.

Enjoy the Enchanted Land. A piece of it will remain in the small of my heart forever.

21. I want to. Just interviewed for a position with the Navajo Nation.
Haven't heard anything yet, but I am well aware of Indian time.

Until I get back, keep smelling the sage, cedar and pinon for me.

What part of the state do you live in?

9. We should test using the term -- and see whether we get a test-tickle from it.
Time to get the balls rolling!

17. One last self-kick, while hoping for another Boston TEA Party.
Q: What do you have when you put 500 teabaggers on the bottom of Boston harbor?

A: A good start.

(My apologies for plagerizing a lawyer's joke for this one. BTW, here's another)

Q: Why are attorneys buried twelve feet down instead of six?

A: Because, way down deep, they're good people.
