I'm home from the hospital, I'm A-OK!

It wasn't near as bad as they thought. Not much pain with the meds. Shoulder MRIs aren't always accurate after a first surgery. NO CAST! My elbow is bandaged to my ribs for 6 weeks. No work or driving during that time. I start therapy in 2 weeks. It will last about 6 months.

I'm going to do a little reading and take a nap. I 1 hand typed this slowly myself.

Every MRI I had showed much LESS damage than was actually present. The last shoulder surgery I had both the surgeon and I agreed a MRI was not worth the time and expense since it would not show what was really going on.

Take it easy and you should heal fine. I look forward to following your progress.

I worked for many years in hospitals and used to tell everyone to visualize themselves getting better. If you can, visualize the cells knitting together, when you think of your injury, envision the tissues pink and healthy and knowing how to heal. It really helps. :)

for your computer. It's extremely accurate if you have reasonably good pronunciation and don't use a lot of ums and errs :)

78. i am an amputee, LaBw. i always type with one hand.. i had my wrist sewn to my side for 8 weeks for

skin graft.. they grafted a strip of skin to my wrist.. it was just sorta tethered with 3 inches of free leash.. the strip was about an inch thick 2 inches wide, just raw on one side. constant dressing changes twice a day injections. it really traumatized me for life and was totally un-necessary. a year and a half of them experimenting on me like a guinea pig totally ruined my health. i am struggling with serious PTSD.

therapy neglected to have me do shoulder exercises an now my arm bone doesn't set properly in the socket.. it will continue degenerate..

be sure you know what therapy needs to be done at what time in the process.. do not assume they know what they are doing.. discuss this with your doctor. get a time line.
