Protests "taking place in american cities"
announced reported on al Jazeers just now, in Wash. d. c.

No idea how big the crowds are at the WH....

anyone got a good link to local coverage of protesters???????????

I am hoping there will be more coverage of the USA protests.

Also under-reported are protests at the Egyptian embassies in other Middle East countries.

5. CNN just showed a protest in either NYC or D.C.
I think they said it was at the UN building in NYC, though I could be wrong. (I had the TV on, but was listening more closely to the aljazeera stream on the computer, so I missed some of the details.) I did hear the reporter say that the crowd had swelled to more than 300.

CNN also showed a map of the U.S. with solidarity protests planned in NYC, D.C., Chicago, and Portland (perhaps others as well).
