Al Jazeera: Mubarak's wife leaves for London

According to the Al Jazeera news channel, there are reports that the Egyptian President's wife Suzanne Mubarak has left for London. It is unclear who is the source for this report. Al Jazeera reported earlier that Mubarak's two sons, Gamal and Ala, have arrived in London with their families, escaping Egypt as result of the unrest. (Roee Nahmias)

Elbaradei was in Egypt yesterday but was placed under house arrest.

The police placed Nobel Peace laureate Mohamed ElBaradei under house arrest, after he joined tens of thousands of protesters in the capital.

The 68-year-old former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency is one of the country's leading pro-democracy advocates.

He returned to the country on Thursday night after a month abroad, declaring he was prepared to lead the opposition to a regime change.

He had warned Mr Mubarak, who has ruled Egypt for the last three decades, that his regime "is on its last legs".

The police fired water cannons at Elbaradei and some of his supporters were beaten while attending one of the rallies in Cairo after which he was prevented from leaving the house where he is staying.

It might not be true of course, but Al Jazeera has not denied it. The reports of the sons leaving are days old but have been denied by the Egyptian government, or were earlier in the week.

They will leave another US puppet dictator, Suleiman. The people of Egypt are fucked again.

Tunisia refused to do so also. I think all these countries have had enough of Western supported Dictatorships being installed in their countries and are determined to take back their countries.

They have been firm that this is 'the people's choice'. They don't want to hear from the elites of their country or here or Britain or anywhere else. They want elections and they want to choose their own leaders.
