1. What I have seen, there is some spin, but lots of information also.
Seen a few good comments on the topic.

6. Opposition leader, Elbaradel is now saying that Egypt needs to shift from . . .
A dictatorship to a democracy. He will seek support from the army. Believes Mubarak has to leave the country in the next few days.

7. Wow
I popped into your thread because I was curious too. One of my relatives was ranting this morning about Egypt "going down the tubes" and I was curious if it was that bad on the tube.

Instead, everyone seems to be mad you don't do the TV thing...odd.

8. Well, I still get real news on my tv.

Only because I live 25 miles from Windsor, Ontario, and can get Channel 9, the Windsor affiliate of the Canadian Broadcasting Company. Actual journalism, not just propaganda.

Alas, they don't have any Sunday AM news coverage, or, at least not at any of the time periods I could watch. I'll see what they're saying tonight on the primetime evening newscast.

10. I can still find news on TV mostly LinkTV that airs
Democracy Now!, Al Jazeera and other ME news on their Mosaic program as well as Deutche Weld. I also watch the MSNBC opinion show lineup with Lawrence, Rachel and Ed, which is still about facts instead of spin and finally I watch BBC News that still adheres to some modicum of journalistic standards and also airs international news we don't seem to get much of.

So I'm not turning my TV off yet. However, I have blocked Fox News and all the financial channels that are just fiction and usually regret turning on CNN so I don't very often.

But now that I have a decent ISP, finally, I find myself streaming more and more on the internet instead.

11. Let's put it this way, on a dare I turned on Fox last night.
I had to first find the damn channel.

Cooties were breaking 'ver there. They were actually trying this thing called analysis.

MSNBC and CNN have their moments. Both Engel and Wedeman know their shit.

I do also check on furiegner press, including Al Jazeera of course.

But nothing funnier than them cooties, and yes... Gerardo talking to them evil Lib'rals at the New York Times.

Never mind that bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri are players in and praised by the Brotherhood.
