Happy ending for dog rescued from ice floe
Mondays can always use an upbeat story. :hi:

Original report from Jan. '10:

"A dog has been rescued by the crew of a Polish boat after drifting out to sea on an ice floe into the Baltic sea.

Originally mistaking him for a seal, the crew soon realised their error and set out to save the dog."

:) Update: Jan. '11

"A dog that became stranded on an iceberg in the Baltic Sea has been adopted by his rescuers.

The canine, named Baltic, was dramatically rescued after a Polish boat spotted the animal trapped 18 miles out to sea on an ice floe last year."

But the experience hasn't put Baltic off the ocean waves."

5. You would never see a Cat on an ice flow
Sometimes I wonder how the doggie gene pool made it this far. Lucky pup.

7. I love that pic!
Some years ago, a mole found his way into our house and was happily exploring a storage room.

Well, my four kitties spotted the poor blind little guy, and trapped him/her behind a stack of half-filled paint cans.

While they were busy guarding the "entrance", the mole exited out the other side, sat behind them, and observed what was going on. It must have sat there for 5 minutes.

The mole finally made his way out through the original port of entry, which I promptly closed off.

I wished I had a video of it. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
