Ok doing some photos from Al Jazeera

and looking for Rank Devices on the web... from two photos I can tell that Junior Officer Ranks are with the people.

Here... from AJ

http://totallycoolpix.com/2011/01/the-egypt-protests-part-2/

The gentleman on a person's shoulder is a Captain, while the second is a First Lt.

That might not matter, but it does. It is a sign of perhaps, why the senior leadership decided to follow the junior officers.

An Lt is junior, and a Captain is still JO... sort off. Not until you hit Major are you allowed to start making your own decisions.

In fact Captain is the highest rank I've seen in photos

2. We are under emergency law also and this president extended
it when it was ready to expire. Most Americans don't even know that.

I went and looked at the photo closely and then looked for rank devices. Three stars on epaulets is a captain. Two is a First Lt. One is a butterbar.

Incidentally the Army to the south would give most americans a headache too...
