5. Maybe, but I'm not sure he realizes he's going anywhere yet. We'll see. Maybe
he'll surprise us all and say he's stepping down immediately, but all the "reports" indicate he's just going to say he won't be running again.

Former NSA guy on CNN now saying if that's what he says (only that he won't run) it won't work. "You've got to go now."

Mubarak steps down, Leaves power after 30 years

Palestine, (Pal Telegraph) - Upon mega protests lasted for more than a week, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak leaves Power. The President steps down tonight after more than 300 protesters killed in 7-day-protests.

Mubarak is due to announce his decision shortly on the Official Egyptian TV.

Journalistic sources told the Palestine Telegraph Newspaper that the decision was taken two days ago but will be announced today. The US administration made it clear to Mubarak that they are no longer supporting his regime, the sources revealed.

Today, around a million gathered to rally in Cairo's Tahrir Square in parallel to countrywide protests held against President Hosni Mubarak.

Mubarak has been into power for more than 30 years now. His era included massive human rights violation and silencing those seeking freedom of expression. Emergency law has been imposed preventing political parties from practicing their activities.

Mubark's relinquishment of power came after huge protests across the country. Additionally, the US, EU and many other allies gave on Mubarak and his regime learning from the lesson of Tunisia. Apparently, these western regimes and US backed Mubarak and his practices for long years.
