20. Ha! He looked too old in the picture noted with the story...
about the cabinet being fired.

They must have an odd hierarchy... I can't imagine the King of any country allowing his mother to be Queen... seems, icky.

8. Always liked him for his generosity when POTUS was running for
President and Condi was screwing with him about a transport to the plane. He picked up the candidate in his SUV and dropped him right off at the steps to the plane. It's good to be king...

33. Try to recall that at one time, the King and Queen of England could do exactly that.
My point is that we can not expect every (any) country to jump directly to Jeffersonian democracy.

In some countries, a king and queen who are pro-democracy will be far better for the people than an "elected ruler" who will allow the majority to murder the minority.

As our own history shows relative to slavery, the majority rule of "democracy" does not always lead to fair outcomes.

There is no single path. Our founders owned slaves, and a "queen" can call for democracy.
