For anyone who thinks athletes make too much money
How much of their salaries should they give up to the billionaire owners?

trying to help them see past the blockers they have.

5. sure... Always only a single set of choices...
:eyes: Black v White; Good v Bad; Poor v Rich; and Player v Owner. Why is my life so much more complicated and less dichotomous?

6. The athletes earned it.
It's no different than an actor making millions because his/her movies are successful.

7. If you look at lifetime income, it's not as much as you think, for most NFL players.
They play about 3 years and earn 700K per year, on average. Okay, that over 2mil, but then what?

8. I get it, really I do, but what totally bugs me are some
very rich athletes, while they believe in their own union, fund raise and campaign for candidates who union bust and outsource American jobs. For instance, in my own area, Matt Hasslebeck (Seahawks) and Jay Buhner (Mariners). Hasslebeck's political ideology is pretty well know, but for those that don't know, Buhner spent some time fund raising for Dino Rossi.

9. Yes, they are incredibly hypocritical
The only reason professional athletes make the money they do is because of the union.

11. I think people should stop complaining about nonsense like this.
Who cares how much athletes earn? It's such a small demographic that it's really inconsequential.

12. I always look at it this way...
If all the owners disappeared tomorrow, could the game of football (or baseball, basketball etc.) still be played? If all the players disappeared tomorrow could the game still be played? With out players there is no game. Besides they are the ones getting beat up regularly. Oh and without paying fans there is no pay, so don't screw over your fans.

And pay off the taxpayer-funded stadiums.
