Scott unveiling Fla. budget plan at tea party bash
EUSTIS, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Rick Scott will be breaking with usual practice in a couple ways when he unveils his first budget recommendations to the Legislature.

The Republican governor will present a 2-year plan Monday rather than the annual version required by the Florida Constitution.

And, he'll do it first at a tea party rally in Eustis before flying nearly 200 miles back to Tallahassee for a traditional news conference at the Florida Capitol.

GOP-leaning tea party activists are expected to give a more favorable response to his proposals for slashing spending by $5 billion and cutting business and property taxes by more than $2 billion.

We (Floridians)are screwed, Florida does not permit the recall of a Governor. The only way to get him out of office is Impeachment.

1. Two years?

So evidently he expects it to only take two years to totally destroy what is left of Florida.

4. They Only Steal as Many Votes as They Need to "Win"
That is why there are so many close elections in Florida.

3. So, is he representing the Tea Party or Florida?

6. That's what I was thinking as well
I was under the impression that he was supposed to be representing EVERYBODY in Florida? I don't live in Florida but if I did, I'd be a *little* upset by this. :eyes:

7. Eustis? Tallahassee?
"Come On Down" to South Florida. We'll give you some Tea and throw in some crumpets. How come we never get to throw a party? Oh, I forgot. Flor-idiot Republicans always stay in the "Safe" geographical districts.

8. Part of his plan: 1/3 of State Parks possibly on closure list
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/politics/state/sfl-state-parks-closing-threat-20110205,0,7599907.story

Fifty-three state parks, including three in Martin and St. Lucie counties, could be closed in response to Gov. Rick Scott's call for budget cuts.

The Department of Environmental Protection's list of proposed closings includes St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park in Stuart, Savannas Preserve State Park in Jensen Beach and the smaller Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park in Stuart.

To help the state deal with a potential $3.2 billion shortfall, Scott asked all departments to come up with proposals to reduce their budgets by 15 percent. Closing these parks, about a third of Florida's total of 160, would save the state about $6.5 million a year, officials say.

9. I really believe he will not last 4 years
He is too slimy, and I suspect will be indicted for acting as he did when he was in business.

11. I thought his plan was to cut 750,000 jobs first then to bring them back
to the Mouse, via minimum wage positions. He's well on his way to doing just that.

12. I'm watching him live on BayNews9.

I can't stand any more, I really must turn it off before I :puke:

His audience is packed with shills who applaud or boo on que. I honestly feel
there must be a coach off camera who indicates what respeonse is appropriate.
It's just that obvious.
