Sunday morning: Mayor of Atlanta (D) to be on Meet the Press roundtable
Edited on Sun Feb-13-11 02:51 AM by alp227
However, only Republican elected officials were booked for the Sunday shows. However, some ambassadors former and current will be discussing events in Egypt, and the current Office of Management and Budget director will be on CNN discussing the president's budget.
- This Week (ABC): Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA); former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN). Roundtable: Robert Kagan of the Brookings Institution, Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, Egyptian journalist Mona Eltahawy, and syndicated columnist George Will.
- Face the Nation (CBS): Sen. John McCain (R-AZ); Egyptian Nobel Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei; Egyptian Nobel Laureate and Activist Ahmed Zewail; Egyptian Ambassador to the U.S. Sameh Shoukry
- Meet the Press (NBC): House Speaker John Boehner (oRange-Ohio); former Ambassador to Israel under Clinton and now vice president for foreign policy at Brookings Inst. Martin Indyk; former Middle East Correspondent Robin Wright. Roundtable: Mayor Kasim Reed (D-Atlanta); Tea Party freshman Rep. Bobby Schilling (R-IL); former Clinton White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers; NY Times columnist David Brooks; Time magazine senior political analyst Mark Halperin.
- Fox News Sunday: Governor Haley Barbour (R-MS); Chairman of House Budget Cmte Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)
- State of the Union (CNN): former U.S. Ambassador to Egypt under Clinton Edward S. Walker; former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations under George W. Bush John Negroponte; Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC); Office of Management and Budget director Jacob Lew
- Fareed Zakaria GPS (CNN): Richard Haass and Steven Cook of the Council on Foreign Relations; JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. Wow this is how CNN is pitching Zakaria's show: "Hear what has to say about what caused the crisis and who made it worse. Could it have been YOU?"

(edited to add) You'll have to go beyond the regular networks to see a Democratic elected official interviewed. On Newsmakers (C-SPAN) will be Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY). On Washington Watch (TV One, a black-oriented cable network) will be Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY). that's what i found from the Washington Post's Sunday morning roundup.

1. Thanks for the nfo. I know I'll be sleeping in tomorrow!
I have no interest in listening to any of them! What's the deal with cable news? They;ve given up o having reps from both sides since the Pubbies took control of ONE house of Congress? It sure looks that way!
