Ed doing what Ed does best..... kudos
Edited on Thu Feb-17-11 11:16 PM by hlthe2b
Ok, mandatory qualifier. I have not been much of an Ed Schultz fan... I still find an awful lot of his old conservative thinking lingering despite his conversion. I also fault him frequently for not doing his homework.

That said, this is the fight Ed Schultz was meant to cover. There could not be a better person on MSNBC or any of the networks. These working people are those with whom Ed Schultz has a tremendous affinity. Contrived? Someone here say "contrived?" Well, like all things television, I'm sure a producer was possibly encouraging applause at certain intervals that would avoid Ed's being drowned out, yet get the point across visually (and auditorally). So, what. Does that suggest these people are not genuinely there on behalf of their cause, that of their friends, families and communities? Sorry, even I can't be that cynical.

So, Ed... You deserve the kudos. I am captivated to a degree that I've not seen for a US protest in some time. Further, I think if this continues, then the MSM that is so bastardizing or ignoring this story will have to come clean. And, Ed will be at the forefront. Good for him and good for the people of Wisconsin and Ohio (and other states coming soon) for having Ed present your story.

2. Well ed is doing the job of
a certain foreign correspondent in Egypt...

While the rest (except Rachel) are playing their roles as Nile TV.

Did I get all my analogies in a row?

4. Pretty much. I just hope the Wisconsin National Guard has the
sense of honor and patriotism that the Egyptian Army did and refuse an order by Hosni Walker to take down the protesters.

5. Tehy were talking the mobilization last week
they even briefed commanders.

Who do you think is the rank and file for the guard? They are in the streets right now.

There is a reason why they have not been mobilized and that died...

The only reason why I could see them mobilized is to man the prisons if the guards walk out... and I hope, for their sake, that is an MP unit... or they will have no clue what to do.

Our TV switched itself to another channel before we got to the end of the show.

8. That sounds about right.
I figured with Ed's audience it had to be something like that.
