1. She put that Republican in his place so expertly. I had been wondering
when someone was going to stand up & give them a lesson on common sense. We need much more of this.

2. I appreciated her comments
At the same time, it is sickening to me that any woman should have to discuss such a private matter on the floor of the House. The asshole Republican's THEORIES could not be more wrong. After all, he'll never know what it's like to miss a period, will he?

It's frankly none of the Republicans', or anyone else's business, WHAT legally permitted procedure any woman's doctor performs.

7. And it's about time we push back on their audacity to tell us women that we're
public property. It's strictly personal business.

I'm getting really sick over opportunistic self-righteous people who use children (in this case, fetuses) as tools for pushing their self interests.

3. Men and women are equal, even if not the same...
What does anyone, expect from the same people that accept corporations as having the same rights as persons and also accepting a fertilized egg as being on the same level as a born human baby or sometimes even a fully adult male?
Facts don't matter to these people. Truth is whatever they say it is at the moment. You can't argue with them because they can't see reality. For them reality is ever shifting to whatever they need at the moment. Because they can't see reality as it really is, they think they can make things up as they go.

Men and women are equal, even if not the same, as yin and yang. For men to pass laws subjugating women because of their sexuality, is to enslave them to a 'master', in this case, the Bible thumping Reich wing-nutz.
The Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth amendments did away with slavery and gave full rights to all citizens in this country, freeing women to be responsible for themselves, instead of under the control of a male relative... Or a delusional group of males with a mental Napoleon comple

6. "There's a vendetta against Planned Parenthood..."
There's a vendetta against Women's rights in this country being carried out by the Republican party and groups like Focus on the Family. They seek to reduce women to chattel and implement draconian, patriarchal rule based on some perversion of Christianity. I am quickly losing my faith in the ability of our leaders to represent all fairly and grieve for the future of our children.
