Wow, forget CNN, NBC or Faux
LATimes loves them some Walker...are they this far over the Rightfield fence all the time?

A preacher's son and perpetual optimist, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker pledged a "return to frugality in government" during his inauguration speech in Madison.

The boyishly handsome Republican spoke from the flag-draped rotunda in the state Capitol, where a band sounded "On, Wisconsin" and well-wishers burst into applause.

3. Calling Scott the brinksman Walker an optimist is overly optimistic
I can't imagine anyone who has watched his executive career say that, except for the Koch brothers who are optimistic that Walker will destroy unions in Wisconsin.

6. Boyishly handsome is really stretching it. Let's leave it as simply "boyish".

7. Sounds like boosterism from the 1880's.
I'd check for c&p plagiarism in cuts from old newspapers. I suppose that's one way to reduce costs.

11. For31 yrs of my life, I considered myself a cultural and spiritually and metaphor Christian.
The delusion stopped.

Morality and spirituality is not served by any religious institution.

Real life I was raised non-observant Episcopalian and Catholic but was 1/4 Anglo-Dutch Jew and lived as a 2nd and 3rd generation western European minority in Indian country.

I went to a Episcopal-owned military academy, then a Ford Foundation startup boarding school in late 60s (now $40,000 plus elite day school), and home to a Indian Reservation high school, graduated 1971. I started Cal the month I turned 21 and graduated with highest honors and returned after being a Fed since I was 16 to do an MBA at Haas at Cal completed age 34.

Frankly, I am confused and not optimistic.

I hope Jerry Brown shines in California.

I expect the USA and my own situation to decline until I die. Alas.

But I am still trying.
