I am sure happy people were smart enough to do the right thing here last election and didn't fall for the bullshit and stay home and not vote. What a relief. And this is right after the Blago fiasco.

Wonder why the Frank Luntz talking points didn't work so well here?

2. I think WI was more heavily ($$$) targeted
by Citizens United and C of C money because they wanted to get Feingold and make a test case of WI. Also there was a perceptible lack of enthusiasm among the weak Obama voters.

Maybe we just needed to burn ourselves to be woken up. I hope.

3. Enjoy it while you can.
And stay safe while attending a rally in support today. All that nasty rain and snow that's moving through N. IL. will demand some commitment to the Madison protest.

4. actually, there are going to be major cuts in social programs here in IL
The main difference as I see it between here and Wisconsin is that Gov Quinn is not going to gut the unions and he will negotiate with them. If we had gov brady the teapartier it would all be exactly like Wisconsin or worse because we actually are in horrible financial trouble here.

5. Across the board tax increases and things are boring?
Ok. And don't forget about the upcoming Chicago election. I mean Chicago politics is always interesting and certainly affects the rest of Illinois.

6. K&R- You can always fight amongst yourselves about gun control...Here in PA,
Democrats are so outnumbered they are irrelevant...Nothing good in our future.

8. In MA
we have just the opposite scenario. Of 40 Senate seats, 4 are (R). Of 160 in the House, 28 are (R). Of course we have Governor Patrick(D) for his second term. Here Republicans are pretty irrelevant - just as I like seeing them.

7. "Wonder why the Frank Luntz talking points didn't work so well here?" I can answer this
Mayor Daley. In Chicago you vote early, and vote often.
