I'm really sick of these "I couldn't protest because I had a job to do!" signs.

You can't fight for your rights without bold action that may cost you a few days of pay.

Waiting until the weekend was not an option. The bill would've passed and would've been impossible to negotiate or change.

1. Of course, but teabaggers don't do logic

In addition, most of the teabaggers I see look like they're retired, and many of them admit to being retired and on medicare when interviewed.

2. Oh fuck them! THEY are supposedly the party that HATES GOVERNMENT!
Yet here we see them, eagerly bleeting like sheep, to the tune of their GOP paymasters. It shows they have no real values...just very flexible ones. :eyes:

Fuck them and their shifting moral values.

3. Their loyalty to their corporate masters is sickening and
naive. They are all just jealous because they don't have the protection a union offers and probably not the decent benefits packages that are negotiated. They put up with poor treatment on their jobs without the avenue to complain (and not fear being fired).

Fear motivates these Teabaggers. They are the biggest group of scared people I have ever seen.

8. Pity them, don't hate them.
They are dupes of their evil overlords. Save your hatred for those overlords.

4. It's called cognitive dissonance
They're virtually unable to connect the dots. They can stand there with a sign saying they're too busy working while not being at work and say they're at work. See?

9. Just like they sat on the sidelines with the health care bills
Two years of their incessant bitching and complaining, as if the 2008 election never happened and Obama and the Democrats should have no right to do anything. Their whiny, hypocritical protests, chock full of old white people on Medicare carrying signs like "keep the government out of my Medicare!!!" Their death threats against politicians, the rocks thrown through windows, congressmen spat on, called racist names, the target symbols masquerading as campaign literature, Caribou Barbie's sheer lies about death panels, the frivilous lawsuits brought before actuivist judges who legislate from teh bench. Their unwillingness to concede defeat after they lost when the bill passed.

I'm in a hurry and do not have time for spellcheck here., Soi sue me., I have a fat finger.

10. From what I've seen, they are mostly retired old white guys who probably
collect social security and seem to be able to drop everything and protest anyway, anytime. Remember the healthcare townhalls? They were always there shouting at their reps, I could never get to that stuff due to work. I call bullshit.

11. They have know idea of the consequences of the legislation at hand
They don't understand why they have 5 day workweeks, holidays, safe work environments and benefits where they work.

They have the illusion that corporations are going to give those things just because they "work hard"

Ignorance is not bliss.
