Can 100's of Thousands of Wisconsin Workers make the Chamber feel the Pain?
Why not have all 100,000 or so that are protesting, take their march over the the Chamber of Commerce. Make it clear...if you see "C of C" in the window of a business, that company doesn't get your business.

One thing is clear. In today's politics, unless you can hit them in the wallet, you can't get anything done.

I don't give a crap if it's a small business that has no idea what the Chamber of Commerce does.

I don't care if the small business opposes what the Chamber of Commerce is going.

I don't care if the business doesn't support the Chamber's politics.

If they belong to the Chamber, if they pay dues, if they put their sticker in the window...THEY SUPPORT THE CHAMBER.

Isn't it time they paid with a massive boycott.

Want Walker to change his mind? The only way to do that is for the people with "real" power to tell him he's gone too far. Those people are the corporate interests and the Chamber of Commerce that bankrolled him.

He'll tell 100,000 people in the street to "eat shit and die", but ONE corporate boss...he'll listen to them. We get that corporate boss to speak for us by making it painful for him.

2. Yes -- if people take the time to walk in and politely explain their position, that'll be effective

3. Local chambers are already coming out against Walker's tactics
There is a debate amongst the CoC's regarding Walker and his BIG Kapitalizm

The members who realize that supoprting Walker means alienating their customers GET IT. The local CoC are folding.

It will only take some additional time for the message to reach R's that they CoC they depend upon for campaign funs do not support the Union busting.

The Unions are now in the thick of the fight. BUT THEY ARE NOT LOSING

4. Madison Chamber of Commerce thinks Walker is wrong
"The GMCC (Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce) supports the work to address the state budget deficit and the efforts toward improving the state's economy. That support ends at the adversarial way elected officials are approaching it. Public policy issues of this magnitude should not be rushed through the legislative process. Given this state's long history of collective bargaining, policy changes of this magnitude should be thoroughly debated for an adequate period of time, in good faith by both sides, with all potential consequences considered. Currently, that is not happening."

Hey Scotty, not what you'd expect to hear from the Chamber of Commerce, is it?

6. Correct
For the most part, the smaller local C of Cs seem to be dedicated to their communities.

7. But
isn't this exactly why Democrats, Liberals and Progressives get our a$$ handed to us in the "message battle".

I don't give a crap if the "local" Chamber is pure as the driven snow, and supports "sane" government. "Eff em"! If they are associated with the National Chamber, and benefit from their activism, then they STILL NEED TO BE BOYCOTTED.

Let them go to the National Chamber and say; "hey, you need to back off, or you get not one thin dime from me". Let them tell the National Chamber; "you don't speak for me, and in fact are causing be to lose business".

One thing's for sure, the National Chamber of Commerce sure aren't going to listen to you and me.

I hate the "the friend of my enemy is my enemy" standard, but either we accept it, and start attacking and boycotting the right people, or we are going to become a 3rd World Country...AGAIN!
