Politifact: GOP claim about doctors handing out fake notes at Wisc rally "mostly true"
http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2011/feb/21/republican-party-wisconsin/wisconsin-republican-party-says-doctors-were-handi/

Summary: Although doctors did show up to write phony doctor's notes to justify sick leave for employees at the protest, there was no formal declaration of a strike.

6. That each doctor wrote over 20,000 notes so they're using amphetamines.

8. It means there are few protestors receiving Doctor's notes
Politifact implies that it was significant. It wasn't.

3. There is nothing phony about a doctor's note.
All it indicates, due to privacy laws, is that you spoke with the doctor. No diagnosis, no fee, no office, nothing.

Politifact is "mostly bullshit".

5. If the doctor spoke with someone, it is not "not necessarily true". You could get a doctor's note at

Starbucks (from an actual doctor, of course) and it is entirely valid.

And what the hell is this, second grade? Questioning the validity of your mom's sick note?

7. doctors notes
the doctors diagnosis was "stress" which pretty much gives the teachers carte blanche to be "sick"
