The stripper wife of disgraced celebrity financier Ken Starr is hoping to make a comeback as a pole-dancing reality TV star.
While he faces up to 12 years in jail for money laundering, Diane Passage has auditioned at the New York topless club where she was working when they met. The 34-year-old was one of 40 women trying out.
And she may need the money. Last year the Securities and Exchange Commission refused to unfreeze Starr's assets.
He had pleaded guilty to a multi-million dollar Ponzi scam with the money of a number of celebrities as his clients, including Sylvester Stallone, Carly Simon, and Wesley Snipes.
Starr has been in prison since he was found hiding in a wardrobe in his $7.5 apartment on the Upper East side. His wife was reported to have whispered to federal investigators: 'He's upstairs.'
His office was over the road from the building where Bernard Madoff engineered his $60billion Ponzi fraud. The lawyer for Passage, mother of 12-year-old boy, who is being sued in a civil action by the SEC, said she would 'do what she has to do' to make a living.
She would be welcomed back by Scores, according to Tara Christine, who works in marketing at the strip club.
