Calling Al Jazeera and BBC News. Time to send some crews to America
Edited on Sun Feb-27-11 07:32 PM by Cleita
to cover our protests. Apparently our media refuses to, so someone has to do it.

2. Cleita!
I agree with your post. The US media are a joke.

Now, please go to ASAH. :)

3. I contacted them last week about our media not covering this kind of thing...
...including war protests - asked if they would cover our American Workers Revolution.

Maybe if a lot of people contact them, they'll show up and our media will be shamed into covering it.

4. Al Jazeera want to get in the US market
unfortunately BBC has had to cut down their staff because of the UK's austerity measures.

7. Well, they do have a foot in the door here on LinkTV.
But I want the world to see what's going on and I think they should report that basically we are having a news blackout. That is a news' story in itself. I mean the only feed we can get on WI workers' protests is from a guy on crutches with a cell phone? This is disgraceful. This is like the old Soviet Union where nothing was reported except the propaganda the Kremlin wanted people to see and hear.

23. My Comcast cable doesn't carry Link TV. Same for Free Speech TV.
But we got the Faux Business Channel in HD from the first minute of its existence.

11. I've been watching the live stream and I believe they
need more boots on the ground. This is spreading around the country and I think they are the only world news outlet now that actually does real reporting and that has correspondents around the world.

14. I think it is being covered by the international news. I'm in Canada and we see WI
a lot. It is within the USA that you are not getting coverage it seems.

17. Al Jazeera will only do it in Arabic. You need to contact Al Jazeera English.
Edited on Mon Feb-28-11 03:40 AM by Turborama
They are two totally different channels.

Al Jazeera: http://www.aljazeera.net

Al Jazeera English: http://english.aljazeera.net/

Sorry about sounding like a pedant, but this is a common mistake that is being made and it's time the difference be made clear.

18. Yes--Al Jazeera English (AJE) covers the U.S.
For anyone who hasn't watched it, it's worth checking out.

See the AJE Live Stream here:
