Gov Nikki Haley (R-SC) Wants to Follow in Wisconsin Governor’s Footsteps
S.C. Governor Nikki Haley – a Republican who has a Republican state House and state Senate with her – wants to take out her irresponsibilities on state workers.

Haley took the opportunity to announce a new target: State employee benefits. Retirees will get their promised benefits, she said, but for new workers “we’re going to have to make some changes.”

Haley declined to specifically say what she would recommend, but said the state needed to begin tackling the $14 billion in unfunded retirement benefits due workers.

“There is no way we can continue to put our head in the sand,” she said. “The current government employees, we’re going to have to look at what we can do. Everybody else is having to sacrifice and cut and unfortunately government employees are going to have to be part of that mix.”

Hopefully all of America will wake up and vote ALL the republicans out of office in the next elections!

4. Everyone except her, her staff, and the GOP controlled legislature
And, her staff all got huge raises when she hired them. This includes a bunch of jobs she created for cronies AND her husband. She's a real piece of work.

3. My state sure knows how to pick 'em.
She has got to be the most unqualified governor in the country. She's following in Walker's footsteps, because she is incapable of figuring things out for herself. Hell, she can't even make a speech without string up a bunch of talking points. This state is already in the crapper. Sarah, Jr. is going to finish it off. I hope I can get the hell out of her before that happens.

9. I hate living here.
I grew up in Vermont...according to a recent poll, the most liberal of the 50 states, and being here drives me crazy. I don't often deal with a word as strong as hate, but I HATE the politics here. I HATE living here. But because of a variety of unfortunate circumstances, I'm stuck here.

13. So, I wonder if the South Carolina state senators will end up in Illinois too?
Edited on Tue Mar-08-11 10:11 PM by Tx4obama

South Carolina House = 123 total seats. 76 republican and 47 democratic

but in the Senate it's a different story...

South Carolina Senate = 46 total seats. 26 republican and 19 democratic (and 1 vacant seat)

So, if the state 'senate' democrats LEAVE Florida like the senators in Wisconsin and the House members in Indiana have - then that will put an end to Gov Nikki Haley's plans! Right?

Anyone know what the rule for a quorum is in the South Carolina Senate?
