It was from the vet when my old boy died a few years back and I had him cremated.

When I am gone release me and let me go.
I have too many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears.
Be thankful for our wonderful years.

I gave to you my love, you can only guess . . .
how much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you have shown,
but now it's time I traveled on alone.

She has breast cancer. I adopted her when she was four and had not been spayed--that could have prevented this.

I love her dearly and I have been grieving a lot ahead of time. A drug called Buprenorphine is making her very comfortable. She is currently on my bed and seems quite content, but very thin. :(

We had a cat with breast cancer too. Just love her and kiss her every chance you get. It's so unfair that these things happen to these innocent little animals. So unfair.

Buster had diabetes and I had been giving him insulin shots twice a day for 2-1/2 years. The only time we missed was when my husband had to go to the hospital for a heart stent last June. The vet said diabetic cats usually only live two years max, so we did have him longer. He had a stroke. I went into him room (yes, he had his own room) to give him his insulin and he was just lying there. Raced him to the vet, screamed for help, told him we loved him over and over, and that was it.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
