4. You know as a former rescue worker
I tried to figure that out. After ten years, just gave up.

I mean a few times we had to have people arrested for their OWN safety...

5. I would love to watch a tsunami.
And the best place to do it would be from a nice set of 100 foot high cliffs.

8. There was a book out about thirty or forty years ago,
Edited on Fri Mar-11-11 04:04 PM by Cleita
a fictional account of the "Big One Earthquake" expected in California when the San Andreas fault finally does its dance. I believe it was called, "The Last Days of the Late and Great State of California." In one of the chapters, there is a scenario about the surfers who gather at all the beaches to catch the Big Wave. So the author thought there were people that stupid back then.

13. In one of the Vids from Japan I was watching some people
standing on a bridge watching as the water was pushing houses and cars under the bridge. Wondering what they fuck they were thinking...

16. Standing on a bridge when water is pushing houses under it?
THey must have much more faith in their infrastructure than I do of ours.

14. It's like the idiot here last year.
Drove around the barricades the workers had just put up on the road because of high water. Drove right past the workers who were yelling at her to stop. And when her SUV got washed off the road, they could hear her screaming for help.
