PPP Poll: Large majority of Ohioans OPPOSE SB 5; Kasich would lose in rematch with Strickland
In a hypothetical rematch, Strickland beats Kasich by FIFTEEN POINTS among registered voters (55%-40%.) PPP pegs Kasich’s approval rating at 35% (only five points lower than yesterday’s U.C. Ohio Poll), but has his disapproval rating at 54%.

The main reason for Kasich’s unpopularity? Senate Bill 5.

9. State-Elected Officials Can Only Be Removed From Office By Impeachment
I don't think anything Kasich has done rises to the level of an impeachable offense............yet. But stay tuned. His arrogance and ignorance might just cause him to step over the line here one of these days.

The other problem we have here in Ohio is that the Republican-controlled legislature would never impeach him. So we're pretty much stuck with him for the next 4 years.

It's some small consolation to know that he will be ousted emphatically in 2014, but I don't think he ever intended to be re-elected anyway. I think the goal all along was to take power, bleed the lower and middle class dry, line the pockets of himself and all his rich friends, and then ride away in the middle of the night and either retire or take a job as a "consultant" with one of the companies he helped enrich. He'll only get about 20% of the vote in the 2014 election, and I'm sure he'll leave office with a smile on his face.

Which will leave his successor, Gov. Cordray (my prediction) to try to repair all the damage. And guess what will happen. When he's not able to clean up all the mess left from the Voinovich, Taft, and Kasich administrations in 4 years, he'll be called a failure and voted out only to be replaced by the next "Santa Claus" Republican promising tax cuts, kittens, and free trips to the salad bar. And we'll be right back where we started. It seems my fellow Ohioans NEVER learn.

11. The voters threw a temper tantrum.
Yet the unelected Bush and his party made gains in 2002 as the voters were in "fear" mode. :eyes:
