Well I have a new job

I have a new job finally. Certainly not my finest moment..... $7.25 an hour but it's something.

I'm not at all impressed with my coworkers, but I'll keep my mouth shut. Already I've been able to collect quite a few mental gems. For example, I've already had to work along a white republican who informed me that it's all the fault of the "illegal Mexicans" that he isn't a rich man, and that he's so upset that if it wasn't for "the Mexicans" he'd be making big money thanks to "a few bible college classes" he's taken.

It must be positively blissful to have such a simple mind in such a simple world.

While they spout the most ridiculous bullshit economics, they then talk about how THEY have an education in economics. Having gone to a "real" college (Drexel) I always wondered where they learn such bullshit. This would explain it!

10. My husband's foreman is a moron

the man can't communicate what he wants, he can't answer a direct question. He can't or doesn't lay anything out. He yammers and yammers and eventually you forget the original question. Then he walks around pointing out mistakes in finished work-- this isn't supposed to be like that etc. The other guy-- that is all they do. The men have to try and grab a look at the prints (many at the same time) to figure it out and then no one explains there are different symbols on this print that mean something else etc. There are not enough tools to get the work done -- and the Contractor wonders why they are behind.

12. Got notice this week that my wages are frozen and there may be a claw back in July

All depends on how much success the new GOP Legislature has in slashing funds for in home health care. They reduced hours to clients 33% last year and that is supposed to go to 50% if the Legislature does not make deeper cuts. I jumped agencies to keep from losing money this year. No way to do anything about the new cuts. No benies of course.

Elderly and disabled are not being taken care of here in Minnesota anymore.
