Jon Stewart Rips U.S. Attack On Libya: 'Don't We Already Have Two Wars?' (VIDEO)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/22/jon-stewart-libya_n_838872.html

Two weeks ago before the show was dark, Jon Stewart points out that the biggest problem spots in the world were "Wisconsin and the set of "Two And A Half Men." Since then, Japan is in chaos, we're firing missiles at Libya and Knut the beloved Polar Bear is dead, probably "because he killed himself after watching the news," Stewart said.

On the show's return Tuesday night, Stewart unleashed all his criticisms of one of those developments: the U.S. launching air attacks on Libya along with other countries. While missiles are being fired with the hopes of stopping Muammar Gaddafi from hurting his own people, it definitely feels like we're at war again. Stewart had to ask, "Don't we already have two wars?"

"You know wars aren't kids... Where you don't have to pay attention to the youngest one because the older two will take care of it."

"You can't simultaneously fire teachers and Tomahawk missiles."

near election time, he really let us all down. I too am against our involvement in Libya at this time, but Jon Stewart is completely useless right now.

15. He would not help out during the stolen elections 2004- he went on vacation
He would not talk about it, would not help out activists who were trying so hard to raise awareness.

Now, he cracks jokes about how they stole it. Pretty fucking useless!

When Bush was caught talking to Karl Rove on his earpiece during the presidential debates with Kerry....again John Stewart was on vacation and never brought it up.

Bush interrupted Karl Rove and said 'let me finish' in the middle of an answer he was giving...it was so obvious. That alone would have ended any chance Bush had of reelection, cheating, can't even speak for himself...but nothing from John Stewart who has the ear of millions.

He now goes after Obama when he should still be going after Bush, exposing the lies until we win, till these people finally have to shut up about what a great leader he was.

Instead John Stewart has all the Bush administration officials on to help sell their books.

19. A lot of young people and even adults look to him for direction
He organized a rally that had absolutely no point to it, then he slammed some of our best liberal anchors on MSNBC, equating them with Beck and Hannity. He can't hide behind the "I'm just a comedian" line when he's obviously influencing so many people. I wonder how many people stayed home last November after Stewart convinced them that dems and repubs are the same.

5. But, unlike those other 2 "neceassary" wars, this one is really, really, "necessary".
Until the next bogeyman is created to provide the really, really, really, "necessary" war.

8. You think Quadafi was "created"? You must've never read history or been alive in the '80s.

13. I've been alive since 1944 and seen how we create an endless supply of bogeymen.

Gaddhafi is a bad guy among a world of bad guys (not excluding our own bad guys). So was Saddam and Mullah Omar. So are a host of other "leaders" around the world. Some of them elected democratically.

We have "intervened" all over the world to "protect our vital interests", "spread democracy", "stop Communism", "support our allies", or, now, for "humanitarian" reasons to "protect" the people from their own government. The graveyards are jampacked with the victims of our "humanitarianism" and love of "freedom".

I've been around long enough to see bogeymen like Fidel, Ho Chi Minh, Patrice Lumumba, Salvador Allende, Noriega, Daniel Ortega, Chairman Mao, Kim Il Sung, even Nelson Mandela. All of them painted as scary, murderous, tyrants, out to steal our TVs and women.

I've seen us "intervene" in a number of civil wars and kill millions of people to promote democracy and dethrone the Bogey Man. Libya is just another chapter in our long career of "picking up the White Man's burden" and bringing light and happiness to the lesser breeds.

14. There was the primaries which was understandable but this...
I just don't get: War is good if a Democrat is behind starting it? We can't afford adequate healthcare, or public education in this country but 110 tomahawk missile at $1MILL a pop is okay for some here? I'm shocked.
