Steven Seagal, Sheriff Raid Valley Home In Tank

Snip< “When the tank came in and pushed the wall over and you see what's in there, and all it is, is a bunch of chickens,” Ross said.

Snip< The Sheriff’s Department has entered into a contract with Seagal and part of that contract gives Seagal carte blanche to go along with the sheriff as he arrests people.

The Sheriff should be fired for this stupid stunt.

1. tthis is outrageous. asshole Arpaio and his co-asshole Seagal
endangered people in the neighborhood and spent tens of thousands just for Seagal's stupid TV show. There should be an investigation as to why this kind of force was used.

Disgusting. I loath that fuckwad.

2. To give someone full use of your equipment like this should be grounds for recall.

4. I watched the video to see what it was they were calling a tank.
They didn't show it. These things are almost always armored personnel carriers, rather than tanks. People don't know the difference.

8. I'm not talking about the victim's POV; I'm talking about the reportage.
To a lazy reporter, anything big, heavy and mobile is going to get tagged as a tank. I was saying it ain't always so...

6. Disgusting
Talk about going overboard. Tanks and SWAT teams for someone to get arrested for cockfighting. Tons of property damage and 115 chickens killed. What a prat.

7. The lawsuit for this is going to be a whopper...
I can't even recall such force being used by a Sheriff...a tank...:wtf: Why any shriff's dept even has a tank is beyond me. Maybe an APC, like an M113, no pic's of the armored vehicle, but an M-60 has a 105mm main gun...that is a tank, and what possible reason there could be for using one in Maricopa or any other county is beyond me.

The birds were "euthanized" on the spot...did they shoot them, toss them under the treads of the tank, hold a big BBQ...

What an appalling waste of time, effort, manpower and cash.

11. It's all because Segal had carte blanche access to the weapons. Segal should be named in any
Lawsuit.

12. I think he should be named as well...
but the Maricopa County Sheriff's Dept offered the contract, and gave Seagal carte blanche, (incredibly stupid on the part of the Sheriff's office). So they would be the primary defender in the suit. Without actually seeing the contract, it's difficult to figure how the suit will go. Most of these things have damage clauses, accidental death or injury clauses and the like. For Arpaio to allow this, he's going to be at the top of the list.

I still wonder about the "tank" aspect, I'm not sure what someone outside of the military would call vehicles they are not familiar with; at this point, I don't even know if it was a tracked or wheeled vehicle. Lot's of things might be considered "tanks", when they are noting of the sort, I can see an armored vehicle in a PD, but a Tank seems a little much.

9. Steven Seagal get tired of harassing people in Louisiana?
He's been a deputy sheriff in the New Orleans area for about 20 years, and recently featured on the reality show "Steven Seagal: Lawman". Only caught part of an episode, it looked just like what you normally see on Cops. Basically harassing people.
