Flooding cuts off NZ capital
Advertisements [?]
Flash-flooding in New Zealand isolated the capital Wellington last night.

The two main roads into Wellington were cut off after the big storm.

Just north of the capital at Paekakariki, the rain was so heavy, cars started floating down the main street. The storms have been unwelcome in the many parts of the country still coping with some of the worst flooding in a century.

More heavy rain is making the clean-up difficult for towns already hit by floods. Dozens of homes are still underwater.
