You can feel the rage.
Personally, I feel a lot of Manning's detractors... esp the most virulent of them.. are acting from a sense of guilt.
They know Manning was right. And at some level they know that people who commit war crimes are... well... war criminals.
And they keep having to push those thoughts away. That keeps getting harder and harder to do. Drains a lot of psychic energy.
Hence the rage.
