I join you in being respectful regarding the death of a man who was once a President of the United States.

My feeling about events and politics are not appropriate at this time. President Reagan's passing after years of a horrific illness is a somber occasion for me. My heart goes out to his family, Ron Jr and Patty, and particularly to his wife, all the more because my own family endured a long period of care for my mother when she too passed through this horror.

I am glad that "the Gipper" is at peace, and I hope his family will find peace after the many years of grief and care. He was greatly beloved by many Americans, and I offer these same people my heart-felt condolences as well as they confront the loss of one of their great heroes.
