postcard and email campaigns (probably starting June 25 or so, to hit those July 1 paychecks) to get our friends to hit a July 15 deadline with Kerry contributions.

We had an informal Kerry fundraiser (we raised $1100 logged, though some folks didn't log their computer or mail contributions on our sheets, so it was likely a bigger total) at my house a few weeks ago and I've never been thanked so much for getting people to give money - most of them had never contributed before, and now they are campaign contributors and some have begun volunteering. I have had some wild parties, but none had better discussion and none was more animated. You couldn't even hear the music!
