Seriously, we have an opportunity here to keep some of those Reagan Democrats with us. Sure we can trash their hero. But is it really a good move politically???

I've read many of the hateful posts about Reagan on this board and I wonder what political ground can be gained by doing so. Yeah, I know, free speech and all and we can say what we want blah blah blah.

Just because we have the right to do something doesn't mean we should.

We sould be courting Reagan Democrats, not alienating them with venomous screed. This accomplishes NOTHING. Like it or not, people liked Reagan. I wasn't one of them but I found him far less offensive than the current occupant of the White House.

I want Ron Reagan on our side, speaking out against Bush. I want Nancy Reagan on our side speaking out in favor of stem cell reasearch. THis kind of rhetoric just doesn't help.
