The media obsession was disgusting. I was camping in the middle of nowhere the chase happened and when I came back to civilization I couldn't figure out why people cared so much about OJ.

I remember when all the news media broke away from the State of the Union address to cover the verdict of the OJ civil trial. The only speech mandated by the US consititution got brushed aside for that tabloid story. It was the most shameful moment in mainstream news up to that time.
