A few years ago, my son was bitten in the foot by a beaver. He got a bad infection in it and was in the hospital for five days on IV Cipro. (The story is a lot longer and in part pretty funny, but that isn't my point at the moment.) So if you really did get bitten, be very aware that it doesn't look to become infected.
