3. Hmmm....
If the doctors' problems are with malpractice, here's a little statistic I came across last week: "From the beginning of 2001 through May 2002, there were 6,083 malpractice suits referred to the Texas Board of Medical Examiners. Not one case was reviewed by the Board. No doctor in Texas has lost a license since 1987."

The upshot is, if the doctors think malpractice rates are too high, they need to help get rid of bad doctors, instead of protecting them.

Just because someone has a professional license doesn't mean they graduated at the head of their class.
